Tees Valley Business Support

Tees Valley Business Support

At Improve Business Solutions we have helped businesses grow and tackle their challenges through various government initiatives, we have worked as approved Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) consultants and accredited Business Growth Service coaches.

More recently we have been approached to help with the delivery of a business support package aimed at helping businesses in the Tees Valley area.  The scheme has been set up in response to the closure of the SSI UK steelworks in Redcar to help UK businesses directly impacted by the closure together with other businesses based in the Tees Valley.

Funding for the scheme is provided by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, via Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council. The Tees Valley Business Support scheme provides grant support to eligible businesses ) to undertake eligible projects or activities  located within the Tees Valley which are designed to expand or diversify the business, leading to sustainable growth and the creation of employment.

This Tees Valley Business Support scheme provides grant support to most manufacturing and service sector businesses (offering more than a local service) based in the Tees Valley.  The Tees Valley Business support scheme offers small grants so businesses can access external expertise and professional services to help them overcome barriers to their growth, leading to the creation or safeguarding of jobs.  Grants of between £2,500 and £25,000 are available.

As grants start from £2,500.00 with a maximum contribution of up to 50% so projects would need to be £5,000.00 and over.
